Fink Wins Roxbury Half-Marathon

ROXBURY  -- Mike Fink, 32, copped the Roxbury Half-Marathon Saturday, Dec. 12, 
covering the rolling layout in 1-hour, 28-minutes.

James Harmon, 32, was second in 1:31.19 over the 13.1-mile race that was run in 
conjunction with the sixth annual Roxbury Marathon.

John Richers, 54, of New Milford placed third on the course, which included a trip up 
and down part of Judds Bridge Road, with a clocking of 1:31.28.

Jeff Sheldon, 29, of Southbury, the 2006 Roxbury Road Race Series champion, finished 
fourth in a field of 41 runners with a time of 1:31.32.

The race had a $5 entry fee with proceeds going to the Roxbury Road Race Series T-
shirt/grants campaign.

The event was sponsored by the series, which will start its 34th season Saturday, Feb. 19, 
at 8:30 a.m. with a 2.4-mile run. There will be no entry fee.
