Fifth Annual Roxbury Marathon To Be Held Dec. 12


ROXBURY -- The sixth annual Roxbury Marathon will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, starting at 8:30 a.m. at
the Everett Hurlburt Community Park on West Apple Lane.
The 26.2-mile race has attracted runners from as far away as California since its inception in 2004.
The course includes five repeat 3.52-mile loops.
A half-marathon will be run simultaneously with the marathon.
Chris Deming won the marathon last year.
The entry fee for both races is $5. It can be paid that morning from 7:15 to 8:30 at the community park.
Proceeds will go to the Roxbury Road Race Series T-shirt/grants campaign.
The event is sponsored by the weekly series.
